In the early 30's, Kay made bodies for National's El Trovador model. At the same time, Kay also produced their own version of the El Trovador; the Kay Deluxe. Originally built with a Shireson cone (to avoid patent infringement with National's cone) but this one has been changed to a spider cone. I believe all other parts on this guitar are original! A solid guitar-no cracks or repairs. Plays easily up to the 12th fret with original frets in good shape. Comes with a good fitting hardshell case in very good condition.
