Medina is basically a tile-laying video game (although the "ceramic tiles" are really chunky wooden items), however, it's much less abstract than many games of that genre. Players will certainly fill up the board with palaces, stables, market-goers, and tower wall surfaces as they restore the city of Medina. I actually like the video game as it features brinksmanship, timing, handling, as well as positioning.
This is the original variation from Rio Grande Gamings.
