While she may need some work, this truly has been my trusty steed! She made it across Canada no problem from Ontario, and still zoom zooms at the lightest touch of the gas pedal.
I just took her in for a safety at Fairfield Auto so I can be as transparent as possible with what needs to be done. The following was listed on the report:
- Undercarriage of vehicle is quite rusty (thanks to Ontario winter)
- Brake Fluid level low
- Recommend replacing front and rear brake pads, rotors and callipers.
- Front brake pads are making poor contact, rotors are very rusty
- Suspect rear brake calipers are sticking
- Both front lower ball joints are very worn and need to be replaced, (recommend replacing with front lower control arms)
- Check engine light is on
- Headlight lenses foggy
- Missing right front wheel cover ( not actually missing, just came off in snow, on now!)
- Antifreeze good till -43C
Exterior right side has some unfortunate dents and scratches from an encounter with a pole that was just in my blind spot. Some minor wear and tear on the front bumper as well.
The interior is in fairly good condition, could use a good detailing though. The only two major problems is the hole ripped in the carpet on the drivers side where your heel rests, and the little drawer under the heat and volume controls wont stay closed.
I really hope I find someone who enjoyed this car as much as I did! She got me across Canada and around Victoria as I started my new life here.
