This beauty has been my daily commuter for the past 2.5 years. I have only put ~20000Kms on this car during this time. As I am getting into cycling a lot more I would like to sell this one and maybe get a car that's more fuel efficient. Very fun to drive with 220+hp straight 6 M54, arguably one of the best 3 series cars BMW ever made.
I have not hesitated to spend money on this car when it needed, the following has been done in the past 2.5 yrs, I have receipt for all of the work (4k+):
* Power steering hoses and reservoir and idler/tensioner pulley redone with brand new part last week (early April 2018) => 740 bucks worth of work. Through R&W, reputable BMW shop
* Oil bracket gasket replaced late 2017 to fix engine oil leak.
* break pads done late 2017.
* Complete cooling system overhaul, new radiator, hoses and water pump in 2016 and 2017. (VCM, reputable BMW shop)
* Crankshaft position sensor replaced with brand new (VCM, reputable BMW shop)
* Nitto Motivo low profile staggered fitment 18inch tires have at least 60%+ thread. Very sticky and put the power down in rain or dry (not snow although it says M+S).
* I am not sure what the wheels are but quite an eye catcher, everyone thinks it's an M3. I get a lot of compliments on this car.
* Muffler hangers replaced
* Oil level sensor replaced
* Car was only filled with 91 or 94 octane gas.
* Oil changes on average done every 4 months with <4000Km. Only fully synthetic Castrol.
Minor cons:
- Car comes with 2 key fobs but the remote doesn't work on either. I have replaced the lock barrel on the driver side and it comes with 2 keys for entry to the car. Then I use the original keys to start the car. Not a big deal but I am sure it's not a lot of work to the get the original door keys working. I also have bought the relays which may fix the problem. But haven't had the time to do so.
- Passenger side heated seat doesn't work. I'm sure it's a fuse or something simple. like a loose harness. Not an issue as the car AC/heater warm up pretty quickly anyways.
Try your trade but I prefer cash.
Trade may work with a cyclocross/road bicycle, medium size + cash. Or a fuel efficient Japanese car.
If you are a serious buyer, I can book you in for a test drive. Only with cash in hand.
