Benito Spagnolo was born in 1927 in Zara, northern Italy, and he passed away in 2007 in Vancouver, B.C.
"Benny", as he signed his works, studied at the Art Academy of Venice, and later emigrated to Canada where he was a member of the Vancouver Art Gallery. His landscapes are well-known for their delicate brushwork, and the subtle play of light on water. The detail is very fine.
The signed pieces each measuring 12" X 14" are also signed and dated by the framer at Village Gallery Ltd., on the reverse.
Benny's larger works are available for considerably more money.
