Ann Rosemary Conway Signed Original (1934 - 2018) "Mexican Goddess of Coyolxauhqui" in celebration of women and the earth.
Stunning details with deep colors make this one of a kind piece a must have. Peering from the darkness, the goddess Coyolxauhqui (coh-yohl-shau'-kee) is one of the most important deities in the world of the Aztecs. She is the moon goddess with copper bells on her cheeks. She is also the sister of the sun-god Huitzilopochtli and 400 star deities in the night sky. She is also the daughter of Coatlicue (coh-ah-tlee'-cooeh ) the Earth Goddess. Framed Size 24" x 24"

Ann-Rosemary Conway (1934 - 2018) used mixed media content wood, hand-made paper, lino-cut prints, collaged together with acrylic, crayon and semi-precious stones, feathers and bones. Each art work takes up to a month to complete. Sometimes longer. "The long process is done only when the artwork finally 'speaks' to me.
Her Acrylic paint products had their own attributes. She used gels and mediums, gels broaden the technical capabilities of the acrylic paints, whereas medium gloss and matte are basically thinner product.
Ann-Rosemary Conway traveled the world in search of images, statues, and paintings only finding them imprisoned in museums tens of thousands of miles from their temples, homes and sacred sites.
