Mature, respectful, responsible tenant sought for 300 square foot unfurnished bachelor suite in basement of house in Vic West. Separate entrance, shared laundry in basement, heat, electricity and hot water included. The suite is small, but it's bright and cute!

Suite is available August 1st.
Suite is located on a quiet side street off Craigflower, in a lovely neighbourhood, on a direct bus route to UVic (#14). 5-minute drive to shopping and amenities at Westside Village, less than 10-minute drive or bus ride to downtown. Minutes' walk to water and to the Galloping Goose Trail. Street parking is available.
Kitchen area includes sink, bar fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and hot plate (no full stove and oven). There is room in the basement for secure storage, including for a bicycle.
Note: The bathroom downstairs is for exclusive use of the tenant, but it is not contained immediately within the suite. It is just outside the door to the suite, at the bottom of the basement stairs that lead up to the main floor.
References must be provided (both rental references and character references). A six-month lease and a damage deposit of half the monthly rent are required. After the six-month lease ends, the agreement continues on a month-to-month basis.
Finally, some notes about the living situation: I live upstairs in the house, and I am looking for a quiet, respectful tenant. My home is my sanctuary, and I hope the suite can be that for you, too! I do my best to resolve any issues as soon as possible (repairs, etc.) I want communication to be open between us regarding expectations, noise levels, use of common spaces, etc. I'm looking to find someone with whom I get along well, with the understanding that privacy and boundaries would be fully respected.
