Seeking the right person to live in our newly renovated, furnished, 1 bedroom suite in Fernwood/North Park.
We originally had a UVic student lined up from September to May 2019. They've decided to wait a year before starting school. They were going to help us with occasional child care, mainly walking our kids to or from school on odd days (to be scheduled), in exchange for reduced rent (hours and rate to be discussed, but around 5 hrs per week). Could this be you instead?
Our two kids (6 and 9) attend school just down the street. Our son has autism so applicants with childcare references or studying a related field in school may be given priority.
If you are unable to offer childcare help but are interested in the suite, certainly contact us... child care help would be very convenient for us, but not a deal-breaker!
The Suite
A bright, new, basement suite in a character home in Fernwood. This cozy suite has a large south facing window in the main room, and is furnished with a queen size bed, a large couch, a desk, and a kitchen table and chairs. Kitchen items and other items could be included, to be discussed.
The kitchen includes a small fridge, induction cooktops, and a toaster oven. There is a patio that is yours to use.
The suite has a large bathroom with tub and shower, and plenty of storage.
There is a clothes closet in the bedroom, and a large closet with shelving in the main room.
Shared laundry (scheduling to be determined).
The suite is close to Cook and Caledonia Streets, on the Fernwood/North Park border.
$1200 rent includes heat, hydro and Internet.
Available as of September 1st. We can be somewhat flexible with start and end dates, but hoping that the suite could be ours in the summer for guests.
We will consider couples as well, but no pets please. One family member is allergic to dogs and cats.
