If there were any around here on Vancouver Island, this would be a genuine BARN FIND. Up for sale is a MINT Condition 1984 VW Full Westfalia. The odometer reads just over 114200 ORIGINAL km. This garage kept van has not seen much usage in its over 30 years. The purchaser went to the Factory in September of 1983 to personally accept delivery of this Export Model Westfalia.It was shipped to Halifax then rail carried to Vancouver. It has the full interior including a three way Domtec fridge in perfect condition, a sink with the original 12 volt water pump in perfect order. The two burner cooktop was only used to boil water. Up top is the mint condition upper bunk, likely never used. The canvas and top hardware are in perfect condition. All upholstery is near new with seat covers still protecting the front seats.
This van still has all of the original curtains and bug screen. The carpets are in like new condition with a complete Go Westy after market protective floor mat set installed front and rear. There is a rear facing quick release 5th passenger jump seat included for transporting an extra passenger. ( Seat belt included) This van has a flawless body with none of the typical seam or surface rust common to vans from this era. The engine is in perfect mechanical condition as is the automatic transmission. Serviced regularly in its home town of Victoria BC by the VW experts at Beetle Auto Service. Included in the deal are some awesome and very necessary accessories. A low profile black powder coated Go Westy bolt on hitch with 2 inch receiver. A Paulchen double bike rack on the rear lifting door and a beautiful Apollo Norseman side mounted awning. Other items worth noting... The auxiliary gas heater for cab and rear compartment is working perfectly. There is a modern Kenwood sound system with Pandora, Aux inputs, AM/FM Bluetooth CD capability.
As you likely know, the Westfalia is a very well designed and built vehicle which is reliable and economical. Easy to own and operate.
