Hi there! I'm offering a small room in a Cook St. Village apartment for August 1. The address is 421 Vancouver St.
This is a small apartment with a single bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. I'm set up in the living room with a pretty solid divider for privacy. I've had this setup for a year with my current roommate and it's been good.
So you'll get a private room (the small bedroom), virtually exclusive use of the kitchen (I rarely use it), shared bathroom access, and lots of storage. Laundry facilities are INSIDE your room -- you have exclusive use. Additional storage, including bike storage, on the property. You'll actually have pretty decent privacy all considered. Internet included (decent but not top-flight).
This is best for someone who is low-key, quiet, maybe a reader or artist. Not suitable for entertaining. Good for students, shift workers, people trying to save a bit of cash, someone who needs a base to look for their own apartment, etc. You're welcome to stay long-term however. My current roomie was planning on a few months and stayed a year.
I have a few things if you need a desk, chairs, futon, etc. Espresso maker in kitchen too!
