Hello, fellow Victorians!
I have a bedroom in a small, 1930's heritage house with one other housemate available. I am currently looking for a replacement housemate for August 1st, 2019.
Here's more about the house:
Your room will be the large SE facing Master bedroom, on the main floor of the house. You will share the main floor of the house with one elderly male housemate and his small dog. The basement is also currently unoccupied, but not yet available to rent. There is a shared bathroom, shared kitchen, large backyard, patio, shared laundry downstairs (laundry hours are 9am-9pm, Mon-Sat). There is one parking space available for a small vehicle. Storage is very limited. The house is located at the intersection of Lampson and Head in Esquimalt, across the street from the #26 bus stop (the #15 also stops close by), and is close to groceries (Shoppers and Country Grocer), many restaurants, rec centre, and a library. This household is 4/20 friendly (but regular cigarettes must be smoked outside), no parties, and we can accommodate another SMALL DOG. Bring your pooch with you! :)
The room will be 750$/month including utilities and high speed internet.

Joseph is a 76 year old man, and lives in the smaller upstairs bedroom. He is a conservative (but is LGBT friendly), so some may find his views problematic. His heart is in the right place, however, and he is very friendly and often eager to help when you need it. He also loves to cook and likes to host group meals for his friends and housemates. He has mobility issues with his body and often requires help around the house. He loves to listen to music and has a background in horticulture and construction. He plays 'Go', writes poetry, and loves discussions about philosophy. A patient, friendly, and helpful housemate would work best in sharing his living space. Joseph would also prefer having a housemate who is 25 or older, has a steady source of income, and who can help take care of the yard outside.
