1980 Maruishi Lady Ace 12 speed ( Made in Japan)
Suitable for rider around 5'2" to 5'5"
Freshly-tuned including new chain, thoroughly cleaned, well-running and ready for the road home.
Original curved drop handlebars replaced with a 2" riser bar typically employed on a hybrid bike for a more upright riding position. Original stem mounted gear shifter replaced with a more conveniently located and easier to operate thumb shifters.
Handles great. Accelerates beautifully.
Chrome wheels trued and showing little wear. Hubs adjusted so wheels spin nicely.
Bottom bracket adjusted so cranks spin smoothly.
Gear shifting properly through all twelve gears.
Brakes stop on a dime.
Chrome fenders and alloy chainguard.
Rear alloy rat trap rack.
Cosmetically, it is royal blue with lots of gleaming chrome (wheels, fenders, handle bars etc ...). Paint chips here and there do little to detract from this regal blue beauty.

Starting as a bike importer in 1884, Maruishi was Japan's oldest bicycle manufacturer. Maruishi's symbol mark, the "Kangaroo" had in the past the same meaning as "bicycle". It came from a story that an old British gentleman, wearing a swallow-tailed coat, riding on a dated bicycle looked like a "Kangaroo" running in the field. The "Kangaroo" represented Maruishi's policy to remain one jump ahead of their competitors.
