This is a CB750K model, SOHC (single overhead cam), and the engine only has about 55,000km on it. I purchased this motorcycle in 2012 off a farmer in Oyen, AB who was the original owner. I'm the second owner and I rebuilt and replaced almost everything that wasn't part of the engine or the frame. It's been a great motorcycle, it taught me all about rebuilding motorcycles, and gave me many summers of fun cruising around town. Great bike for someone looking for a classic motorcycle with a sport bike / cafe racer look and feel.
While rebuilding this motorcycle, I added clubman handlebars, a cafe style seat, completely upgraded the entire electrical system with a whole new wiring harness and electronic spark timing (no points and condensers anymore), new battery, new speedometer and tachometer, Progressive suspension in front and new shocks in rear, new braided front brake line, new chain and sprockets, new cables (clutch, choke, throttle), new 4-into-2 exhaust system with tan exhaust wrap, new steering damper, new front and rear wheel bearings and seals, new steering bearings, K&N style air filter pods (I kept the original airbox, though), installed a custom "Player 1" arcade game ignition button, the carbs were cleaned and synced last month, and it has Avon Road Runner tires with 80% tread remaining.
Has electronic push-button ignition, as well as a kick-starter. On a cold start, it's a little rough but it fires up after a few tries. Once warmed up, it runs absolutely perfect. It's a 40 year old motorcycle, so it's not in perfect condition - there's a bit of surface rust visible on the inside of the gas tank, but it's never been a problem for me. There's a noticeable small dent on the front left of the gas tank. And there's also a variety of small nicks and blemishes that have built up over this motorcycle's lifetime. Also included in the sale are most of the original parts that were removed and upgraded, if wanted.
The reason I'm selling is because I own a few different motorcycles and I never ride this one anymore. Plus, I would like to purchase an adventure motorcycle to explore some more dirt roads on the Island.
