Marketing Assistant/Event Co-Ordinator (Saanich BC) in Victoria, British Columbia

We have an immediate opening for a part-time marketing assistant to work with our Marketing Manager in our Administration Office. This position is for 16 hours plus per week during our busy spring and summer months and a minimum of 8 hours per week during our fall and winter months. You would work in our Victoria office for your marketing shifts unless attending events. In this position you will work every Wednesday from 8:00 to 4:30 doing admin duties and preparing for events. You will work events which require flexibility with working occasional evenings and weekends. You have a minimum of one year experience in marketing or in coordinating special events. You have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects for a variety of staff and volunteers, excellent interpersonal skills and fantastic customer service ethic. You are proficient using Microsoft word, excel and email and have detailed knowledge regarding website searches and working with a web site.
