Normally I would think spending anything on an alarm clock given we all have phones these days to be crazy. However this thing is awesome especially in winter.
At alarm time the light gradually gets brighter to simulate sunrise and as the alarm sound birds fade in gradually. All of this makes for a nice natural wakeup which makes a big difference for feeling more awake vs tired first thing in the morning due to the usual shock of a regular alarm.
Totally worth it and I'm selling only because I'm moving overseas. Works perfectly. I think it would be almost 2 years old.
