1902 STERLING Silver WAR OFFICE CARD Case
$33,399

This listing is for STERLING Silver CARD / CASE Holder in terrific condition. This beautifully worked case has floral engraving and an 8 point star with fancy initials inside as well as on 1 side, inside a crescent shape, are the words "WAR OFFICE" and on the other side " F two ACCOUNTS / 3D / 27.2.04" - the case is hallmarked for Birmingham 1902 which would put this case being made during the last year of the 2nd Boer War; however, as I believe the engraved 27.2.04 is for the date February. 27 1904, it would have been presented after the end of the Boer War . I am quite sure with the design and finish to the rim of the opening of the case, this case was made with an open end (no cap). The case measures approx 3 1/4ins in length and 1 7/8 ins in width and 1/4 in in depth and has a weight of 40grs . Please see my other items ! For all buyers outside of Canada PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that this will be INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING which is MORE EXPENSIVE than your domestic shipping and due to possible CUSTOMS Clearance Delays and the extra DISTANCE for the parcel to Travel - the Delivery will normally take LONGER THAN FOR DOMESTIC SHIPPING - for shipping costs please see the shipping quote as shown in the listing. I will combine shipping on more than 1 item if safe packing will allow for it. We ask that payment be made within 1 week from end of auction.
