For sale is my 2000 MR2-Spyder, in titanium / gunmetal grey metallic. It's fantastic to drive - manual transmission, lightweight, very precise steering and exceptional handling. This car has been adult driven, lovingly maintained and not abused. I've owned this car since 2010 and only used premium fully synthetic 5w30 oil. I've always believed in Toyota's legendary reliability - this car shares the same engine and manual transmission as the Corolla, making it economical and reliable. I've also imported a removable hardtop from the UK. They're very difficult to come by and cost about $3,600 to import. The final generation of MR2 wasn't sold in Canada... You won't find another Spyder in this colour, with a hardtop, in this condition, so come take a look before it disappears!
Some of the service history:
Suspension - All shocks and struts, plus alignment in July 2018
Exhaust - Full replacement, ceramic coated for long life
Audio - Upgraded to a JVC KW-V200BT double-din touchscreen unit and Pioneer speakers. Clean look and great sound quality.
Upgraded dash cluster - Metal-backed factory look, displaying in Km/h. Previous OEM cluster was in Mph with hard-to-read Km/h numbering.
Brakes - All brake components have been replaced since I've owned, with rear pads, rotors and parking brake cable done Feb 2019.
Battery - New battery purchased Jan 2018.
Oil - Always premium full synthetic 5W30. I won't sell to anyone who plans to run conventional oil in this car.
Genuine Toyota Hard Top - They were never sold in North America, so I imported from the UK.
Paint - Clear-coat was peeling in 2017. I took the opportunity to change to titanium / gun-metal metallic flake finished with extra layers clear-coat means a paint that really glistens when it catches the light and highlights the body-lines.
Upholstery - Drivers-side seat leather re-done in 2016 by Tommy's Auto Upholstery in Victoria. Superb workmanship. I would highly recommend them.
Headlights: Refreshed/resurfaced lights in 2018. Bulbs upgraded to crisp modern white bulbs (4300K)
Alarm with Keyless Entry - High-end Viper motion-sensing alarm with 2-way paging designed for use with a soft-top. If the alarm goes off, you'll get a notification on your key fob.
