$2800 w/ your own wheels and tires.
Bought last August for $3000 w/ 350xxx km hoping I'd get into wheeling more. Went once before doing most of the work.
4.0L ohv.
M50D-R1HD trans from 2011 Ranger.
'95 Ford Explorer 8.8 lsd with 3.73's.
4" of lift.
Lightbar, horn, interior LED's wired to switch panel.
2 x 12" Alpine type R's, double din head unit.
Trialer hitch.
Parts replaced since August 2017 (most done in the past 2 months including tires):
- Tires: 33x12.5 BFG A/T KO2's (Feb.14/2018) aligned and balanced. $1200 with alignment, balancing, and camber adjusters put in at Kal.
- Rear axle: new seals, flush, fluid w/ friction modifier. (Nov.2017)
- Rear suspension: 2001 Ranger leaf packs, new add-a-leaf's, new bushings, new belltech 6400 shackles.
- Brakes: front pads and rotors (previous owner), new rear brakes completely and backing plates, new rear and frame hardlines, fluid inevitably flushed. (Nov.2017) (e-brake needs to be connected.)
- Front suspension/steering: new upper/lower balljoints, new tie rods and tie rod ends, new camber adjusters, new u-joints all around. (Feb.2018)
- Driveshaft: 2001 Ranger 4" aluminum single piece w/ new u-joints front and back. I have notched the crossmember and reinforced w/ angle iron. (Feb.2018)
- Engine/etc: new air filter, oil filter and oil change, pcv cleaned, iat cleaned, maf cleaned, bla-bla-bla. (Feb.2018)
- Battery: new Motomaster with paperwork and warranty from CT.
Frame: rust free, solid, had a certified welder weld the front engine crossmember mount, with 1/4" steel backing plate to reinforce it, as well as 4 big stainless bolts to counter a crack that commonly develops in Fords.
Has warn manual locking hubs. Have new wheel bearings to go in. Explorer leather electric seats, not in great shape, drivers' needs to be wired in. Does have things to be addressed: lower windshield crack. Exhaust dumps at cat, have the rest of the exhaust system to be hooked up. Small oil leak, never deterred me, conventional Castrol 5w-30  is what I've always used.
I have receipts for nearly all of this totalling $2200 in parts, not accounting for used stuff I paid cash for.
CEL for cylinder bank 1 lean, assuming an o2 sensor... been on since I bought it.
$3500
