I have an automatic 2.2 L 1994 Chevy Cavalier for sale. Got it last september, and have changed: water pump, head-gasket, spark plugs, heater core, alternator, headlights, and battery. The old battery is still good, I made the mistake of changing the battery before the alternator.
Vibrates when at a full stop in "drive." I think it has to do with the engine mounts, so it's not a big issue and works fine.
The fabric on roof in the interior is falling off. This is because humidity was getting into the car from a bad heater core. I have masterfully reupholstered it with safety pins :P I'm sure there could be a better solution. Tape isn't one of them.
This is a good car if you're just looking for something cheap to putts around town in.
Just replaced headlights.
Needs a new transaxle solenoid converter ($60 part) if you want to drive on the highway.
Good things about this car:
New heater for the cold season.
It runs as is.
Radio works.
New battery.
Could be a parts car you don't have to tow.
It has under 200,000km
Its tires are good.
Brakes are good.
Its suspension feels like you're floating.
Bad things about this car:
Its old.
It needs a new solenoid converter.
