This RH drive 1968 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow oozes class and classic styling.
This car was purchased 20 years ago from another Rolls Royce Club member. The current owner, a retired mechanical engineer, has always treated the car like a member of the family and there is no joy in his life putting it up for sale. He is very private and I have his written authority to sell on his behalf. The Rolls has always been garaged and no smokers or pets were permitted inside. The owner just wants the car to go to a good home, to someone who appreciates the one of the finest cars of its day. Included with the car are numerous RR Club magazines, books, spare parts and two snow tires. The car has been meticulously maintained, but sadly, life dictates that the Rolls must go.
The car is a time capsule when Rolls Royce was gold standard in luxury and prestige. The new owner will want to address very minor rust around both rear wheel arches. Recent servicing (2017) at Victoria's Bristol Motors included re built alternator, brakes serviced (RR363 brake fluid), new voltage regulator,
The quality of the workmanship on this RR is absolutely first class, the finest in the automotive world. The car feels, smells and drives like an older Rolls Royce should. The doors close with authority and the seats envelope you in luxurious leather. The beautiful wood grain dash shows its age but will stun you every time you enter. Last year the car received four (4) new Michelin Harmony tires and included are two winter tires and wheels.
The luxurious Silver Shadow I was produced from 1965 to 1976. It was the first to use unitary body and chassis construction. The car features disc brakes on all four corners. It is powered by an ultra smooth 172 hp (128 kW) 6.2 L V8 motor with the same 4-speed automatic gearbox as the Silver Cloud (also sourced from General Motors (the Hydramatic).
The car has very hard to obtain British Columbia Collector Car license plates.
