You will need to have a ball installed on your vehicle and this then attaches to the ball (standard ball hitch)
We sold our 2003 CRV and they didn't want the hitch. We used it to attach a bike rack on the back of the vehicle and needed the extender because of the rear mounted spare tire.
Worth more than 3 x this asking price.
