I bought this pair of roof racks a while back for my girlfriend's 2004 Subaru Forester. I however I tried to buy them without having her car to put them on and they are not the right length.
The bars would need to be 32"
Now i'm trying to sell my embarrassing $80 mistake.
I can't remember what Subaru the previous owners had, it was either a Forester or Outback/Legacy is the early 2000's I think. That's the best I got.
Just had someone try it on his 98' Forester, but they didn't fit. Hope that helps.
