Maistral is a solid built fiberglass masthead sloop. This boat has a long history and has been offshore numerous times in her life. The space below deck is generous with 6' headroom and 9'11" beam. The layout from the companionway has the galley on port side and a navigation station and quarter-berth on starboard. Then there is a saloon area with a single berth (settee) on each side and an extra sea berth on port side. Shelving above the berth on starboard. The fore cabin has the manual head (with holding tank and macerator) and generous sail locker and closet space.
Galley equipped with a gimbaled Force 10 two burner propane stove with oven. Salt water foot pump and fresh water hand pump with 135 liter tank.
Navigation station has many spare parts, local charts, VHF radio, older GPS, depth sounder. Electrical panel hooked up to 2 deep cycle marine batteries that are charged by the outboard motor.
Sail inventory includes 4 headsails, storm jib, storm trysail, spinnaker and mainsail with 2 reef points. 2 two speed winches and 2 single speed in the cockpit. 2 single speed winches on the mast.
Her auxiliary is a 9.9HP Yamaha outboard on a heavy-duty kicker. The motor runs well and has been regularly serviced.
Ground tackle includes a Bruce and a CQR anchor with chain and rode.
The boat is currently moored at West Bay marina in Esquimalt. She is not in as new condition and has a bit of work to do which is reflected in the price. That being said, she has a proven history and could take the right sailor very far indeed. Many records are included with her.
She was surveyed and bottom painted with anti-fouling paint April 25th. She also comes with an 8' Dyer fiberglass dingy with oars.
