"Seament" 54"L.O.A 49' wl Beam 13'6"Draft 7'
Hull # 541 417
Presently anchored in Mill Bay. You can see her from the gov't dock.
Needs some work as all boats do.
But a little money, time and some expertise to finish her.
She needs
- a new prop shaft and align it to her 89 engine hour Cummins 85 hp turbo diesel it ( was brand new in California) says it is waranteed for 20,000 hrs.
- mast or masts to be stepped and rigged 2 masts and most of the rigging are on board the boat including 1 boom or sell the aluminum and get your own wood mast and rig her to the original classic gaffheaded revenue cutter.
- interior wood work in salon area needs to be designed to your liking as I removed it to put in my own plan but didn't complete it.
She has so much stuff aboard. I can't list it all.
Stove burns anthracite coal. You can cook a turkey in it but watch you don't burn the turkey.
I am heatbroken to put her up for sale as she is my dream boat.
I have a recent 16 page survey done by Mid Pacific Marine Surveyors. Capt. Donald J." Skip" Riley on Mar 5,2012.
Replacement value $350,000. She will be sold to the highest offer with a plan to continue her saga.
I have videos and a photo album available to serious buyers, will try to get a webpage or something for viewing.
Original builder, owner Paul Snow clocked her at 13 knots more than once on a passage from the South Seas to Hawaii
More picks to come and maybe a link.
Thanks for viewing.
