I have listed this boat earlier but have since raised the mast and installed the boom and mainsail and therefore raised the price from $900 to $1200.
I am motivated seller and will consider all reasonable offers.

One of Navel Architect Alex McGruer's little known gems is the Challenger, of which justover 800 hulls were built in Pointe claire Quebec Canada from about 1973 - 1980. The Challenger, at 24 feet and 8' beam, offers 5'11" headroom in the salon, a semi private head and v-berth, galley with sink and plumbing, bunks for four and huge storage capacity. Weighing in at 4000 pounds, the Challenger carries 2090 of that in an iron keel, giving it a ballast ratio of 51%. That translates into a boat which loves heavy winds and will stand up to 20 knots plus underfull sail while heeling barely to the rails and roaring along at six knots.

She has a 3.5 ft draft iron keel that was at one point completely sealed with a thick coat of epoxy to prevent any salt water from seeping onto the keel bolts of which have been sealed in bilge. All seacocks are of brass construction. Four tuff winches. Hull is blister free. I have completed all of the deck fiberglass repair, and all of the brightwork, all she needs is a good cleaning, light sanding and then paint. Boat has been sitting in water for some years so will need eventual bottom paint . Has working radio and older style depth sounder.The interior has all of the cushions and just needs a good cleaning.She comes with 1 mainsail and 2 vorsails and mainsail cover. Could possibly include super reliable 6 hp 2 stroke long shaft for an extra $200.
