This beautiful watercolor painting done in the 1980's of the Cathedral in San Miguel Allende in Mexico, was created by the renowned Canadian Watercolor Artist , Molly Greene Mitchell ( A.O.C.A ; C.S. P. W. C. ) .
Molly was a prominent and well-respected member of the Vancouver Island Watercolor Guild , known as ' Al Frescoes Plein Air Painters of Victoria ' , and taught her considerable skills to many others in Toronto and on Vancouver Island .
She titled this wonderful piece ' Parenguia '~ and when caught at certain angles the spires and walls of the cathedral give off a unique golden glimmer , and added to that the authentic colorful scenes of Mexican life evolving in the town square are revealing .
This painting is a great depiction of life around this beautiful Mexican church , and the camera does not do true justice to the finer details of this painting , and it's visionary depiction .
The frame measures 20" x 27" .
