Hi there, thanks for checking out my ad!
I've been searching for a very particular rental space for quite some time to no avail, so I thought I'd put it out there and see what comes back :). First, a little about me and my partner Richard:
I grew up in Metchosin and Richard is from Chetwynd BC. We're both farm/bush people at heart and enjoy spending as much of our time outdoors as possible.
I'm taking a herbal apprenticeship program, and working from home as a Web Content and Marketing Specialist. I'm also trying to start a small wild crafted herbal business, but at the moment I don't have the space for it at home. I enjoy gardening and would love to have a few chickens.
Richard is finishing an Electrical Engineering degree at UVIC and working at the Central Heating Plant as a Shift Engineer. His hobby is woodworking and every chance he gets he's taking home trees to make into furniture. Unfortunately, we don't have the space for this at our current place either.
For the time being, we both have commitments in Victoria that don't allow us to move too far out of the city, yet, our passions revolve around access to the forest and property. We have also lived in small cramped basement suites for too long, and need some space and beauty in our lives.
What we're looking for in a rental: (not all entirely necessary but would be lovely)
- 1 or 2 bedroom suite (would love high ceilings, view, bathtub, fireplace)
- workshop (indoor or outdoor, as long as it's dry)
- garden space
- property
What we offer as tenants:
- We love to do yard work and would treat the place as our own. We cannot afford to buy a house at the moment but are looking for something as close to it as possible.
- Richard and I are both extremely handy people and would love to help fix up/ maintain or build things to increase the property value of your place.
- If you're an older couple and need some help around the place this would be a great arrangement for both of us!
