We have a basement suite in the heart of Fernwood, half a block from the square.
True to Fernwood it is a funky space. There are two bedrooms but no living room. Previous tenants have used the second bedroom as a living room and others have used it as a second bedroom and managed to use the kitchen/dining area and the living room too.

We live upstairs and have two children. We are looking for tenants that are noise conscious and respectful of shared ceiling/floors. Given that we live on the same property, we prefer people that use environmentally friendly cleaning products.
