Denman House, a lovingly-maintained character home, is located at 1720 Denman Street, and is situated in vibrant Fernwood, in between Shelbourne Street and Richmond Road, both of which have major bus lines running from the University to downtown (#27/28 and #14, respectively). Additionally, the #14 bus line runs from UVic all the way to Victoria General Hospital. This is a very quiet and picturesque neighbourhood. The Royal Jubilee Hospital is just minutes from your front door, as are amenities such as Save-on-Foods, a BC Liquor Store, coffee shops (Starbucks, Tim Hortons, Serious Coffee), and local restaurants. Nearby are also the Oak Bay Recreation Centre, the Belfry Theatre, and Hillside Mall. Victoria's downtown core is easily accessible by foot or bike (approximately a 25-minute walk), or hop on the #14, #27 or #28 bus, all of which stop on Douglas Street in the downtown core.
Denman House is separated into two fully-furnished, self-contained suites: a 4-bedroom ground floor suite and a 5-bedroom, 2-storey main and upper level suite. Guests share large front, back, and side yards with laurel and bamboo privacy hedging. Please be advised that both suites are non-smoking and pet free.
Bamboo Suite
This fully-furnished suite is on the ground floor and contains four bedrooms, a spacious living room, kitchen and dining area, 1.0 bathrooms, as well as in-suite laundry, cable TV, and internet. It has been extensively renovated, including new paint, windows, blinds and floors.
